Deepak Rawat (born 24 September 1977; IAST: ) is an Indian civil servant serving as the current Kumbh Mela Officer, Haridwar since 2019.He is an IAS officer belonging 2007 batch of Uttarakhand cadre.Prior to his current position, he was the District Magistrate of Haridwar and Nainital. He is currently the Kumbh Mela Officer of Haridwar Kumbh Mela. He is known for his actions on social media platforms during his tenure as the DM of Nainital and Haridwar district.Deepak Rawat awarded for work towards National Nutrition Mission. Current Posting As of now, Deepak Rawat is posted as Mela Adhikari (Kumbh Mela Officer), Haridwar Controversies He has been alleged of beating a priest in temple. A case had been registered in court against Deepak Rawat.He also has been warned by Supreme Court of India for his actions on encroachment sites during DM of Nainital and Haridwar. |
