Deepak Jaikishan

Deepak Jaikishan is a Malaysian Indian businessman who once had close ties to the family of Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak. It is noted in media reports that he supplied carpet and interior products to Najib and his household and that he took a loan from Kuwait Finance House amounting to RM600 million. Deepak who was made famous in the public declaration made by P. Balasubramaniam. In the declaration Balasubramaniam noted the Deepak was involved in getting him to retract his first statutory declaration that alleged that Najib Tun Razak was involved with murdered Mongolian model Altantuya Sharibuu and making a false second statutory declaration which omitted parts of Najib's relationship with Altantuya. Recently Deepak has been giving interviews to the Malaysian media about his involvement in getting arranging the second statutory declaration and there was pressure from government circles for him to be silent. Also he currently involved in a lawsuit brought against the Malaysian government and UMNO over a land deal.
