Dee Rimbaud

Dee Rimbaud is a poet, novelist, artist and editor. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland, in 1962. He was moulded by the sensibilities of the punk rock movement and in later years highly influenced by the rave scene.

His first poetry collection, The Bad Seed was published in 1998. His second collection of poetry, Dropping Ecstasy With The Angels, was published by Bluechrome (2004). The collection features several poems about drug use, and shows influences from Celtic, Christian and Indian mythology. It includes many poems in praise of ecstasy and rave culture and is something of a departure from his previous collection, The Bad Seed, which was dark and often nihilistic. Rimbaud's first novel, Stealing Heaven From The Lips Of God, was also published in 2004.

He is editor of The Book Of Hopes And Dreams an anthology of poetry anthology, which was published in 2006 to raise charitable funds for Spirit Aid, a charity that provides medical services to the people of Baghlan Province.

He is editor of The AA Independent Press Guide, an online directory, which has detailed listings of over 2,000 literary magazines and publishers. Rimbaud also maintains a website, Thunderburst, and a blog.

Dee Rimbaud, whose real name is Dee Sunshine, is also involved in "intelligent dance music" outfit, The Melted Rubber Humans, under the alias Captain Melted.
