Decrypted is a 2021 dark comedy heist film written by Mick Sands and directed by Tom Sands that stars Sophia Myles, Kevin McNally, Amanda Abbington and David Hoflin. Synopsis The film follows a group NSA operatives as they try to kidnap bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto in the hopes that they can learn how to destroy cryptocurrency. Actors Sophia Myles, Kevin McNally, Amanda Abbington and David Hoflin were confirmed as performing in the film. The film's script was written by Mick Sands and was directed by his son, Tom. Release Decrypted released on 1 November 2021. Reception Nerdly was critical of the film's script and humor, writing that "The only saving grace of Decrypted is the music, with Richard Morson crafting the kind of spy thriller-esque soundtrack that adds a lot, a LOT, to the films atmosphere. Especially where the script, performances and direction fall totally flat. So flat that you have to wonder how an actress like Spooks’ Sophia Myles ever got involved in it."
