Angela Workman is a screenwriter. She wrote the screenplay for ', planned for release in 2017 Career Workman wrote the script for The War Bride, directed by Lyndon Chubbuck and released in 2001. The film won the Grand Prize at the Heartland Film Festival. In 2006, Workman wrote a script for a planned film about the Brontë family, which she was also to direct. With Ron Bass and Michael K. Ray, Workman was a screenwriter for Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, based on the novel of the same name by Lisa See and released in 2011. In 2011, Workman wrote a film about the photographer Dorothea Lange, directed by Leslie Dektor and produced by David Fincher. In 2013, she adapted Jo Baker's novel Longbourn for Focus Features and Random House Films. She wrote the screenplay for ', directed by Niki Caro and planned for release in 2017; it is based on the by Diane Ackerman. In 2016, she wrote the script for a romantic drama about Tanaquil Le Clercq for The Weinstein Company and was working for LD Entertainment on a film about the Opium Wars between China and Britain.
