Dayanara Ryelle

Dayanara Sanar Ryelle (born January 7, 1986) is a contemporary novelist, specializing in thriller and action/adventure novels. As of summer 2012, she has written two novels, including one under the pen name Catriona Cassidy. Dayanara's poetry has also appeared in various collections, including the 40th edition of Olivet College's Garfield Lake Review. Her "calling card" is a strong female protagonist, often with a military background, who packs a nine millimeter Smith & Wesson.
Early life
Dayanara was born in Lansing, Michigan to Richard Joseph Martin (January 18, 1951), a seventeen-year employee of General Motors (at the time of her birth) and Mari (née Prescott) Martin (December 20, 1954), a saleswoman and Mary Kay consultant.
As an only child, Dayanara had the privilege of traveling extensively, with spring trips to Florida and summer trips around the eastern United States and Canada, including Gatlinburg, Tennessee, Williamsburg, Virginia, and Toronto. Even after Richard and Mari divorced in October 1997, Dayanara continued to travel with her mother and through school-related events, including trips to Vail, Las Vegas, San Francisco and return trips to Gatlinburg and Williamsburg. Perhaps the highlight of her travel experience was spending three weeks in southeast Ireland as an exchange student through Lions Club in July 2003.
