Dawnn Karen

Dawnn Karen (born December 10, 1988) is an American fashion Psychologist and the founder of the Fashion Psychology field.
Early life
Dawnn Karen was born December 10, 1988 in Cleveland, Ohio. Of Jamaican and African-American descent, She attended the Cleveland School of the Arts where she double majored in Classical Vocal Music and Creative Writing. She received a full scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University where she majored in Psychology and minored in Ethnic Studies. She also became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. She received her Master of Arts in Psychological Counseling at Teachers College, Columbia University.
Career
While pursuing her graduate studies, Dawnn Karen worked in the Fashion Industry as a Jewelry Designer for Optukal Illusion, for New York Fashion Week in Fashion PR, for Harlem’s Fashion Row, and as a Model for many independent New York fashion designers. After completing her education at Columbia University, she created the new academic discipline Fashion]] Psychology]] which studies color and fashion and its effects on human behavior while addressing cultural sensitivity and cultural norms, working with clients from everyday people to Business CEOs, politicians, and entertainers.

Karen has been interviewed for Fashion Affair Magazine (U.S.), Glamour Magazine (Italy), Shop til You Drop Magazine (Australia), Fashion Magazine (Canada) and 1966 Magazine (U.S.). She has made a television appearance as an expert on The Morning Show (Australia) and a radio talk as an expert for Health Professional Radio (Australia).
