Davide Locatelli (born in Bergamo, Italy, on August 22, 1992) is an Italian pianist and composer. Biography Son of Claudio Locatelli, former drummer of Dalton (italian musical group), he studied piano at the in Mantova, graduating in 2010. Subsequently he studied composition and piano jazz at the in Milan. After starting his career as a classical pianist, he turned to other styles and genres, including pop, rock and jazz. In the years 2005 - 2006, at 13 and 14 years old, he participated and won the National Competition C.E.M. for 2 consecutive years. (Musical Emotional Center of Bergamo). In 2011 the song Tunnel was released with the label La Bambolina s.a.s., the first album of the pianist which is attached to the Suonare News magazine. In the years 2013 - 2014 he was the protagonist of 2 tours in the United States, performing at the Blue Note Jazz Club in New York and at the Dont Tell Mamas. In 2014 he released Fly Away with the label Buena Suerte Records, second music album unpublished, attached to the newspaper L'Eco di Bergamo. In the same year he is among the candidates participating in Sanremo Young, paired with Alex La Barbera, with the song Trust me, written with Davide Flauto, ex competitor of Amici di Maria De Filippi, and presented with the Luvi Records label of Iva Zanicchi. The couple is ranked in the 60 semifinalists of the competition. In 2015 he participated in the third edition of Tú sí que vales (Italy) broadcast on Canale 5, where he presents a reinterpretation of L'estate by Vivaldi in rock version. In that occasion he is noticed by Francesco Facchinetti who becomes his manager. On January 20, 2016 La Vie En… Rock! was released with the label Buena Suerte Records, his third album, which pays homage to 15 classics in the history of rock music with 88 piano keys. The album is produced by Gregorio Fortunato, record producer and director of Radio Millenote. The song remains in the top 20 chart of iTunes for 3 weeks, reaching 11th position. The album tour, between 2016 and 2018, totaled over 300 dates around Italy. In June 2016, during the program Chat dei Giudici, pre-evening of the TV talent show The X Factor (Italy), Alvaro Soler decreed as best cover of his song Sofia the interpretation of Davide Locatelli, which is broadcast live during the telecast, on Sky Uno and TV8. In June 2017 he was a guest in a duo with Gabry Ponte at the Wind Music Awards, broadcast live on Rai 1 from the Arena di Verona. Performs the closing concert Remember The Floating piers, in honor of The Floating Piers, artistic installation by the artist Christo. In the same year, he collaborated with the Italian National Rhythmic Gymnastics Team for the Golden Butterfly Gala, accompanying the athletes' performances with his music. In 2018 he signed his first record deal with the major Sony Music and in April of the same year he released his first single, Pirates of the Caribbean, reinterpretation of the homonymous soundtrack of Hans Zimmer. The video of the song, in which the artist is struggling with a piano that catches fire, exceeds one million views on YouTube. In October of the same year he released the song Numb, in honor of Chester Bennington of Linkin Park. In the video of this song Davide Locatelli playing a piano that sinks into the abyss. In 2019 he released his first single with Sony Music, Sugar Land. In the same year he reinterprets the song "Bad Guy" by Billie Eilish. In the video clip is present Francesco Facchinetti, the artist's manager, and his wife Wilma Faissol. In January 2020 he is a permanent judge of the broadcast All Together Now - La musica è cambiata on Canale 5 while in March of the same year Experience was released, written with Roberto Rossi. The song becomes the soundtrack of a letter written for the city of Bergamo, hit by the pandemic from Covid-19. In June he starts his collaboration with the Dolce & Gabbana brand, which will lead him to perform in various high fashion events. In December he is present, with his music, in Family Affair, 2 two advertising videos made by Dolce & Gabbana. On June 11, 2021, the album This is Dave is released, 5 years after the last song produced with Sony Music. This is Dave immediately enters the Amazon Music chart, ranking third in the world chart, in the classical music category. In August of the same year he became musical artistic director of the Dolce & Gabbana fashion shows in Venice; during the first evening of fashion shows he performs using 5 pianos. His music accompanies the shows of the last evening, held on the Darsena. On December 16, on the occasion of the 122nd birthday of A.C. Milan, reinterprets, with Mazay, the hymn Milan Milan by Tony Renis, which is broadcast during the match Milan - Napoli, at Stadio San Siro.
