David Steenblock

David A. Steenblock (b. January 7, 1943) is an osteopathic physician board certified in neurology and occupational medicine His post-doctoral training included three years at Case Western Reserve University, one year at the Oregon Health & Sciences University and a clinical Rotating Internship at Providence Hospital in Seattle, Washington. In addition, he did an externship at the University of Washington Department of Hematology/Oncology in 1969 which included work with stem cell-rich bone marrow.
Career
Dr. Steenblock commenced his medical career by training in pathology. During the late 1970s he founded the first integrative medicine clinic west of the Mississippi River (Wholistic Medical Center, El Toro, California) which focused on the prevention and treatment of chronic degenerative diseases. His clinic relocated to Mission Viejo, California in 1994 and for the next 5 years operated as “The Brain Therapeutics Medical Clinic”. In 2006 his clinic became “David A. Steenblock, D.O. Inc., Personalized Regenerative Medicine" (Dr. Steenblock’s Clinic) and has since focused on personalized medical intervention for various chronic diseases plus age-related issues and aging management (antiaging). Among the modalities Dr. Steenblock utilizes is hyperbaric oxygen, chelation therapy, herbal medicine, , whole body periodic acceleration, , and (since 2005) stem cell rich bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC).

Controversy
Steenblock has been subject to regulatory action by the Osteopathic Medical Board of California, something publicized in detail on Quackwatch by Stephen Barrett.
In addition, many critics and skeptics have taken exception to Steenblock's use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) for chronic stroke, something he began using in conjunction with specific IV and other therapies in 1988. Quackwatch's Stephen Barrett has criticized this practice.
