David Sessions (born July 24, 1985) is an American journalist and the founding editor of Patrol, a post-evangelical magazine now based in New York City. He is a former intern and occasional contributor to Slate, and a music critic for World. He formerly wrote an op-ed column in the Freestone County Times, a weekly newspaper based in his hometown of Fairfield, Texas. Sessions graduated in 2008 from Patrick Henry College in Purcellville, Virginia, with a B.A. in journalism with a specialization in public policy. He briefly attended the University of Texas at Tyler. After working for Slate in Washington, D.C., he moved to New York City and began operating Patrol on a full-time basis. He lives in Manhattan.
