David Robinson (reporter)

David Robinson (born 11 May 1983) is an Australian television personality, producer and reporter.
Robinson is currently a popular roving reporter on Network Ten's morning television show Studio 10.
Personal life
Robinson was born in Ipswich, Queensland. He graduated from Rosewood State High School in 2000 and moved to Darwin, Northern Territory in January 2002. Later, David moved to Sydney, New South Wales. Mother Nicole O'Meara who's married to Stephen O'Meara. David has three half siblings, and two step siblings. David is estranged from his biological father, but close to his Step Father Steve.
Coinciding with the Australian Marriage Equality postal survey result on 15 November 2017, David shared a photo of himself and his now ex-partner, Brad Price, on Instagram. After years of joking on air that he was unable to attract a girlfriend, this was his first public achknowledgement of his homosexuality. David had been seen at several red carpet events prior to this with his partner.
Career
Robinson started on the Seven Network's presenting movie reviews and taking on various tasks as a Reporter <ref name="auto"/>
He went on to work on Weekend Sunrise and TV Turns 50 before joining Network Ten.<ref name="auto" />
While working for the critically acclaimed Children's TV Unit he turned his hand to producing Totally Wild, Toasted TV, Scope and narrated various Network Ten documentaries.<ref name="auto" />
Robinson joined Studio 10 as a producer, but quickly made his way on air as a favourite reporter. Robinson currently presents The $5 Quiz segment every Friday on the morning television program, which has become a regular segment due to popular demand.<ref name="auto"/>
