David Reveman

David Reveman is a software developer who is best known for starting the Compiz project, a compositing window manager for the X Window System. Also known for his work on glitz, Xgl and the window manager WAIMEA, Reveman was at the Department of Computing Science, Umeå University, Sweden, before Novell hired him as developer for SUSE Linux in early 2005.
David co-presented with Nat Friedman during Novell BrainShare 2007. He was quoted by The Salt Lake Tribune saying: "We can do pretty much anything now, our imagination is the limit." This keynote address was the first that time David's work on input transformation was demonstrated to a large audience.
With the leadership of David Reveman, Novell lead the effort to develop Xgl graphics, as their release of Compiz demonstrates.
