Billux

Billux is a distribution of Linux, based on OpenSUSE (Novell). It has a multitude of packages, and comes with support for most Windows applicatons using the Wine Emulator, and emphasizes virtualization and .NET development. Unlike the more popular version named Ubuntu, this distribution is not based on Debian, but is rather based on the more secure (using ) Redhat Linux.
Billux versions
Billux version naming system was inspired by The Mac OS naming system of big cats. Billux is named on a system of birds. This naming system was conceived in June 2010 by Alexander Sanderson, the Chief Marketing Officer of SW Computing.

History
Billux was designed in early 2010 as the first Linux distribution produced by SW Computing. Billux was announced as an official project in the corporate newsletter of April 2010. The distribution is mostly developed by SW's Billux Team.
