David L Decker

David L Decker (18951979) was an American businessman and philanthropist.
President Mariners Harbor National Bank which became Richmond County National Bank.
He negotiated the banks merger with First National City (Citicorp). Decker was President of the Staten Island Historical Society and helped them found the Richmondtown Restoration and Museum.( Historic Richmond Town)
Decker was also the President of the Chamber of Commerce. He lived most of his life in Port Richmond, Staten Island. Attended Curtis High School, and fought in World War I serving in France., Richmondtown offers many educational programs for children and adults that allow us to “time-travel,” i.e., experience life in other eras of history.
