Dave Swift is an American photographer, writer, and magazine editor recognized for his work in the skateboarding industry. Publishing career In January 1989, Swift started working in the magazine industry as an assistant editor/staff writer at Transworld Skateboarding. In September of 2014 The Skateboard Mag completed a publishing deal with The Berrics and continued until May 2017. Skateboarding career Swift was a local at The Del Mar Skate Ranch from 1980-1987. In 1984 Swift was approached by Schmitt Stix owner and founder, Paul Schmitt, to ride for the company as an amateur skateboarder. Swift continued until Schmitt Stix turned into New Deal Skateboards in 1990 at which time he became a sponsored amateur with Santa Cruz skateboards. |
