DataExpress

DXOP stands for DataExpress Open Platform. DXOP is a Managed File Transfer server that supports the following protocols: FTP, FTPS, SFTP, HTTP, [], WebDAV and WebDAV SSL. Additionally, outgoing connections for client downloads and uploads are supported over FTP, SFTP, and SCP. The GUI management interface in DXOP is written in Adobe Flex, as evidenced by the DXOP.swf loading file when the page first loads. The latest release has done away with Java and JavaScript applet communication which was known for glitches depending on the web browser version and JVM. Inherent within the DXOP solution is a DMZ proxy for added secure as well as protocol conversion. Support for AS2 and AS3 protocols and ad hoc secure file transfer will be available in the 4.1 release, GA in Q1 2010. Supports the USPS ACS Service.

History of DXOP
Originally owned by Epiq Systems based out of Kansas City, KS, DXOP was purchased by DMBGroup, Inc in April 2004. Ongoing maintenance and new development has been performed by DMBGroup with the latest version providing an overhaul to the GUI management system.
Development
DMBGroup provides maintenance contracts on the product, and has been releasing new versions periodically.

Security
Encryption is supported for storing passwords in a non-reversible hash. SFTP uses SSH for encryption, and FTPS uses SSL/TLS for encryption. There have been no known, or published security vulnerabilities in DXOP.
