The Darwin Holistic Health Centre (commonly abbreviated to DHHC) is an Australian organization based in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia. It was founded by Lila Notley OAM and Ian Brighthope on September 8, 1998 to provide an alternative cure to cancer.
History
In 1997 Lila Notley and a few other committee members planned and organized the 3rd World Congress on Cancer. It drew 274 people from both the public and health professionals. There were 13 overseas presenters and 8 Australian presenters.
When the Congress succeeded, the committee and other people aimed to address the diverse needs of the multi-cultural demography of Darwin. They aimed to develop a body that could help people in their health. The DHHC was then born out of this concept.
