Dario Bisso Sabàdin

Dario Bisso Sabàdin is an Italian conductor, composer, musicologist and guitarist.
Career
Dario Bisso Sabàdin studied in Venice at the Conservatory Benedetto Marcello, where he majored in guitar (Amato) in 1985. Following a degree in Musicology at the of Venice, he also studied prepolifonic liturgical music (Ernetti), composition in Venice (Amendola), conducting in Milan (Zani).
In 1986 Bisso Sabàdin was received by the Italian president, Francesco Cossiga, and personally obtained recognition from the Italian minister of Culture and the Arts for being youngest guitarist to have received a top diploma mark with distinction (Cum Laude) in an Italian Conservatory during 1985, the European Year of Music. In 1989 he won the International Guitar Competition of Rome and Tokyo; in 1990 he performed at the St John's, Smith Square concert hall in London. In 1992 he performed in Boston, Milan, Munich, Rome, Naples, Bologna, Bitola, Trieste, and Ancona.
Conducting
Bisso Sabàdin began work as a conductor in 1998; the first major event that he conducted was at the Court Theatre at the Palazzo Reale in Naples, Italy in 1999. He has conducted the Orchestra Alessandro Scarlatti, the Orchestra Academy Vivaldiana of Venice, the city of Adria Symphony Orchestra, the Bacau Philharmonic Orchestra 'Mihail Jora' (Romania), Milan's Orchestra Sinfonica Sconfinarte, OFI - Italian Philharmonic Orchestra at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Philharmonic Orchestra of Veneto, I Pomeriggi Musicali Orchestra at the Teatro Dal Verme in Milan, Orchestra Sinfonica Della Pronvincia di Bari, the Ion Dumitrescu Philharmonic Orchestra in Ramnicu Valcea (Romania), Vidin State Philharmonic Orchestra (Bulgaria), debuting symphonic programs as well as some operas including: Verdi II Trovatore, La Traviata, Rigoletto and Aida.
Bisso Sabàdin was the first to conduct the Philarmonische Camerata Berlin (string ensemble of the Berlin Philarmoniker), at a concert dedicated to the Bepi Colombo Prize for research and space projects, given at the Sala dei Giganti of Padova University in 2009. In 2012 he published a number of CDs conducting OFI - Italian Philharmonic Orchestra and Bacau Philharmonic Orchestra 'Mihail Jora' in symphonic programs with orchestral music by Mozart, Beethoven, Strauss and Wagner; with Ekidia label, a DVD of the opera Rigoletto by Verdi.
Bisso Sabàdin was awarded the Pentagram Prize in 2007.
