Daria Snadowsky

Daria Snadowsky (born 1979) grew up in Greenwich Village, New York and went on to graduate with a B.A. and an M.A. in film studies from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and later would gain her J.D. (Juris Doctor) from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas’s William S. Boyd School of Law.

Snadowsky entered the young adult literature scene with her first published novel Anatomy of a Boyfriend (2007). Publishers Weekly claims the book keeps readers “eagerly turning pages” and “marches where few YA writers have dared to tread.” Gillian Engberg, a writer for Booklist Magazine calls the novel “unusually authentic” and “honest.” Anatomy of a Boyfriend was also included as one of the New York Public Library’s Books for the Teen Age 2008.
According to MentalHelp.net, Anatomy of a Boyfriend is one of the few novels aimed at teens that deals with sex and sexual experimentation.
While in college and law school Snadowsky also wrote for Creative Loafing, Las Vegas Weekly, and was the note editor for the Nevada Law Journal where she won the Carl W. Tobias Excellence in Writing Award for best student note.
