Daniel Severino (born 11 February 1982 in Sydney, Australia) is an Australian player currently playing for Bankstown City Lions in the NSW Premier League. Severino began his career with Marconi before moving to Italy to play with Piacenza for a fee of $500,000. After making a handfull of appearances in the first team in 3 seasons he made a move to Millwall under manager Mark McGee. After an very successful FA Cup run he returned to Marconi before playing in Iceland and Sweden. In 2007 Severino returned to Australia to play for Bankstown City. In May 2007 Severino travelled to Scotland to trial with Motherwell where he refused a one year deal.. In 2008 Severino joined Sliema Wanderers where they most recently won the Trophy Cup Final and progressed through to the second round of the UEFA Cup As of May 15, 2009, Severino was on trial with A-League side Perth Glory but did not sign due to salary cap restrictions.. As of June 2, Severino has recently re-signed with Bankstown and scored a hatrick on debut for the Lions.
