Daniel Rosenfeld

Daniel Rosenfeld (born in Palestine, October 19, 1929) is a writer and expert on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. His father was an official in the British Mandate's Government from 1921-1948, and he was educated in Hebrew and English schools. In 1948 Rosenfeld enlisted in the Israel Defense Forces and fought for the defense of Jerusalem during the War of Independence in 1948. He worked for many years at Bank Leumi. Currently, he lives in the United States of America.
His books include What If (2002), an alternate history in which the author speculates about how history would have been different if in 1890 events had taken a different path in the second rise of Israel on the way to becoming a nation state; Fall of the Spanish Inquisition (2002), and Code Name: Amnon: The Life And Times Of A Haganah Fighter 1943-1949 (2003), an autobiography of the author's involvement with the Haganah since 1943 to 1949, during the dramatic and violent years leading up to the creation of the State of Israel.
