Daniel Hondor

Daniel Hondor (born May 6, 1966) is a Romanian épée fencer currently living in Boston, USA. He is the founder and director of Olympia Fencing Center, with locations in Cambridge, and Newton, MA.
Personal life
Daniel Hondor is married with Iulia Hondor, also of Romanian origins, the marketing director and manager of their fencing club, Olympia Fencing Center, in Cambridge, MA. The two have a son.
Career
Daniel started fencing in his hometown of Craiova, then known as "the capital of Romanian fencing". By his teenage years, he became a member of the Romanian National Épée Team, and he started training with coaches Mircea Alecu and Dumitru Popescu, at “Fencing Club Olimpia Craiova”, after which he named his own club in the USA.
The 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games brought him to America, where he now lives.
