Daniel Barel is the co-founder and CEO of REE Automotive, an electric automotive technology company based in Israel. Education Barel graduated from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2004, with a degree in Economics and Business Administration. Career In 2011, Barel and Ahishay Sardes founded Softwheel, based on a wheel design consisting of three suspension arms inside the rim to allow the wheel to absorb shock from any direction. In 2018, SoftWheel signed a $4.5 million contract with the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs. In 2020, REE was named a BloombergNEF Pioneer. Magna Steyr, Mahindra, Mitsubishi Corporation, American Axle, and others to develop EV technology for vehicles. In February 2021, REE entered into a merger agreement with 10X Capital Venture Acquisition Corp. |
