Dan Pero Manescu

Dan Pero Manescu (alternative name: Dan Manescu) is a Romanian-German artist, writer, director and producer. He is the founder of the "New Quantum Art".

Early life
Dan Pero Manescu was born in Bucharest, Romania, (23 December 1952), to intellectual parents with German & English roots who are mentioned by the Romanian Cultural Heritage CIMEC. His father Theodor Mänescu was a prominent dramatist, his mother Silvia Andreescu (born 1927) is a wellknown dramatist too.
Manescu's grand mother Elisabetha Gräfin Manescu, wrote the biography "The Life and Work of Rabin Dr. Moses Gaster" (1940). The Rabin Dr. Moses Gaster (an ancestor of Dan Pero Manescu) have grounded the first colonies in Israel in 1948.
In the first two decades of his life, Dan Pero Manescu attained Fine Arts courses at the High School of Fine Arts "N.TONITZA", in Bucharest. In the next years he wrote a couple of radio plays for young people, and has been involved with some collaborations in movie productions as a director assistant and actor (see IMDb).During the same time he studied quantum physics for 4 semesters, and quantum patterns (particles) from this subject are the source of inspiration for his future artworks.
Theater activity
From 1979 to 1983, Manescu attained Directing courses at the University of Theatre & Film "I.L. CARAGIALE", Faculty of Directing of Theatre, Film & TV Movie Productions, in Bucharest, Romania.
From 1983 to 1989, Dan Pero Manescu worked as a Stage Director and Stage Designer in Romania. Several of his productions are mentioned now by the Romanian Cultural Heritage CIMEC,
as
his stage production "The Old Wives Tale" ("The Lovers of Thesalia") by George Peele, released in November 1985, at "Theatre of the Youth" in Piatra NeamÅ£, Romania. The actress Tatiana Ionesi performed the main role of "Delia", and the composer Dorina Crisan Rusu wrote the original music.
Later activity
In the year of 1990, after his father's death, Manescu settled to Germany where was granted the German Citizenship. One year later, 1991, the artist founded the "New Quantum Art", a direction of conceptual painting as part of the conceptual art, inspired by nuclear physics. The spectographies of the quantum patterns (Proton, Neutron, Kaon, Muon, Pion, etc.) are redimensioned to metaphisycal symbols.
1991 to 2002 Dan Pero Manescu is involved with over 30 Group and One Man Shows Exhibitions, in Germany, France and USA as Dan Manescu. Several articles inform about his art in newspapers and magazines as "Stuttgarter Zeitung", the wellknown "World of Art" magazine - 2000/2001, etc.
In 2005, Manescu settled to Costa del Sol, Spain. The artist participated in One Man Show Exhibitions at the Art Galleries "REITER", Alicante, 2005, "VICTOR", Marbella, 2005/2006, and "RU-H ", Málaga, 2006. Newspapers and magazines as "Costa del Sol Nachrichten" 2005/2006, "Finest -Marbella" 2006, "Sur in English", 2007, and the German "MATRIX" 2007 relate about Manescu's exhibitions.
In the same period Manescu founded "DAN VISION", his movie production company in Spain, written original screenplays, developed some movie projects among a team of international associates, and also started to work conceptual photography.
Since 2008 the artist has been autographing again with his full name: Dan Pero Manescu.
Since 2010 Dan Pero Manescu is working to his philosophical book "The Blow".
Work philosophy
In Manescu's art the spectographies of the quantum particles are redimensioned to metaphisycal symbols.
Regarding Manescu's paintings, the art collector Prof. Dr. Werner Halbweiss wrote in the "World of Art": "...these structures build a bridge between the material and spiritual perception and show us things that are invisible to our consciousness, but visible to our un-consciousness. Manescu's "Quantum Art" is a new intuition synthesis."
