Dan Millice

Dan Millice (born July 12, 1988 in Charlotte, NC) is a New York City based audio mastering engineer.
Personal Life:
A musician since the day he started singing along to Aerosmith records in the bathtub, Daniel Robert Millice grew up learning as many instruments as possible. Beginning with piano, Dan quickly moved on to the drums, and at 14-years-old, branched out on his own writing rock songs on his father’s guitar. At 16-years-old, he wrote and produced his first rock record.
In 2006, Dan was accepted into a competitive Music Industry Studies program in the Hayes School of Music at Appalachian State University. He was quickly hired as a concert-recording engineer by the campus, recording concerts ranging from major ensembles (including symphonic bands and wind ensembles) to chamber orchestras, recitals and choirs. After less than a year in the position, he was hired as the Manager of Concert Recording, and quickly promoted to Student Recording Studio Manager. It was in this position, that he first worked with mentor and professor Scott Wynne. While in his position as studio manager, he recorded jazz legends Bernard Purdie, Cyrus Chestnut, John Brown (Duke University), Vince Lewis (Liberty University), Todd Wright, Bafoodus, Andy Page and Zack Page, along with many talented students and Hayes School of Music faculty members.
Graduating in 2010 and earning a Bachelors degree in science and music, Dan spent a year at Masterdisk as an apprentice and assistant engineer to Owner and Senior Mastering Engineer Scott Hull. Leaving Masterdisk in 2011, Dan has since begun developing his personal roster working out of studios including Engine Room Audio, under the direction of Mark Christensen, and La Sala Studio under the direction of Zuk Hits.
