Dan Barnabic

Dan Barnabic (born November 8, 1946) is a consumer advocate, entrepreneur, author and contributor to the Wall Street Journal's Market Watch. Early in his career, Barnabic penned the Foreign Information Employment Guide. His most recent work, The Condo Bible was written over an 18 year period and was published in early 2012. He is currently working on his third book, Speculating in Real Estate.
In 2004, Barnabic founded Consumer Federation Canada, a consumer advocacy group dedicated to protecting the rights of consumers in the financial market place. As President of Consumer Federation Canada, he assisted Members of the Provincial Parliament of Ontario between 2004-10 in drafting proposed Amendments to the Consumer Reporting Act.
Other ventures
Barnabic was involved as a professional boxing promoter from 1978 to 1985. In the '80s, he co-produced the syndicated television series Famous Knockouts. The series was narrated by Spider Jones and arguably the greatest Canadian boxer of all time, George Chuvalo.
