Damarea Liao

Damarea Liao (born August 8, 2005) is a Nigerian-Japanese actress, model, poet and the daughter of the Oba of Benin, Ewuare II. She is also the niece of Princess Elizabeth Oluwo, and the first National Youth Poet Laureate to Japan, in which she was appointed in November of 2024. Liao first gained international recognition following conflict with Kim Kardashian in 2024, causing her resignation from the Miss Nigeria pageant.
Princess Damarea Liao was born in Columbia, South Carolina, United States to a Nigerian father and a Japanese mother. Liao took part in various aspects of the entertainment industry before conflict with Kim Kardashian following a comment deemed as 'cyber-bullying' caused her to resign from the competition sparking some mixed responses within the media, some speculating that it was a publicity stunt to push a new film. She was confirmed in a reality show 'Life of Crowns' before the feud began.
In 2023, Liao was announced as the first African to compete in the Miss China pageant before resigning her title. She is a current fluent speaker of six languages: Swahili, Igbo, French, Yuroba, Spanish, and English.
