Dag Magnus Narvesen is a Norwegian jazz musician born 1983 in Stavanger, Norway. He plays the drums and works mainly within the fields of progressive jazz and free improvisation. After studying at the jazz department at the University of Stavanger from 2003-2006, he moved to Trondheim where he studied at the jazz department at NTNU. In 2008, he moved to Oslo. Dag Magnus Narvesen is involved in the collective Kitchen Orchestra in Stavanger, which collaborate with musicians such as Alexander von Schlippenbach, Evan Parker, Steve Beresford and Keith Tippett. In addition, he composes music in his own quintet named Sasquatch and he is a sideman in Gunhild Seim's Time Jungle. |
