Bajram Istrefi Jr., aka LAMY (born June 9, 1979) is a Kosovar-Albanian Jazz Drummer, percussionist & composer who was born in Mitrovice (Rep. of Kosovo), where he grew up and started his musical career at the age of 13 playing different percussion instruments of his native folk music. At the age of 16 he attended the University of Music & Dramatic Arts in Graz (KUG) Austria, where he started studying drums & percussion and soon found a place in the local jazz scene where he started to create his own voice in music. By the age of 19 he started playing professional music with different musicians from all around the world. Istrefi Jr., has performed in many prominent clubs & Jazz Festivals throughout the world. |
