Curtis Obeng (born 14 February 1989 in Manchester) is an English professional footballer who plays for Swansea City. He plays as a defender. Club career Obeng began his career at Manchester City, and played alongside England internationals Daniel Sturridge and Micah Richards for Manchester City in their 2006 FA Youth Cup final defeat to Liverpool, but was released in 2009. After trials with clubs including Blackpool, Celtic and Wigan Athletic, he signed a two-year contract with Wrexham. He played for England C in 2010. Swansea City On 31 January 2012, Obeng moved to Premier League club Swansea City for a reported £200,000, signing a three-and-a-half-year contract. He follows former team-mate Neil Taylor's footsteps and is trying to emulate the player.
