Cultural references to The Wiggles

The Wiggles are a world-renowned children's musical group, formed in Sydney, Australia, in 1991. Their fame is reflected by references to them in the world media.
* In July 2009, in the long-running UK soap opera Coronation Street, character Eddie Windass (played by Steve Huison of The Full Monty fame) on sporting a red polo neck top was referred to by his wife Anna as "looking like one of The Wiggles".
* Captain Feathersword was mentioned in the NBC political TV drama The West Wing fourth season episode entitled "Privateers," in which Josh Lyman sarcastically refers to First Lady Abigail Bartlet's ancestor, a privateer, as "Captain Feathersword."
* In The Chaser's War on Everything, episode 106, The Wiggles song "Where's Jeff?" is parodied during the show's current affairs segment.
* In the NBC comedy TV series Scrubs, Dr. Cox includes a reference to "Jeff that Wiggle that sleeps too darn much" in one of his rants at another character, J.D.. He also made reference to having seen them in concert twice and said "They opened and closed with Big Red Car. It was ... awesome."
* The Wiggles and Captain Feathersword made a guest appearance in a November 2002 episode of the CBS sitcom "Yes Dear". Parts of the episode, entitled "Make Every Second Count", were filmed at a Wiggles concert.
* The Wiggles song, "Henry the Octopus," was featured in an episode of the American HBO television drama series Six Feet Under during a scene with Australian actress Rachel Griffiths.
* In the opening minute of the premiere episode of NBC's My Name Is Earl, the Wiggles' "Do the Monkey" can be heard playing in the car that is soon to be robbed by Earl.
* The Wiggles are mentioned in an episode of CBS's "How I Met Your Mother," Season 1, Episode 20, "Best Prom Ever", in which Marshall claims The 88 is "...The Wiggles of wedding bands."
* The Wiggles were mentioned in an episode of Neighbours in 2004 by Summer Hoyland when explaining to her father how she was now grown up. They also performed on the same show, three years earlier for an unwell Emily Hancock.
* The Wiggles briefly appear in the 2007 movie "Knocked Up", and three of their songs are on the movie's soundtrack.

* On September 4, 2007, ESPN Radio's Mike and Mike in the Morning were talking about how "big" Mike Golic was physically. During the discussion, Golic said, "I'm bigger than all the Wiggles combined."
* On October 26, 2007, Guillermo, wearing a pink shirt, "auditioned" for The Wiggles.
* In the 15th episode of the first season of Glee Rachel mentions that she had recently attended a Wiggles concert with her boyfriend.
