Crunchwrap Supreme

The Crunchwrap Supreme is an entrée available at American fast food chain Taco Bell.

The product, introduced with limited availability in the summer of 2005, quickly became the company's single most successful product launch to date. It became a regular menu item in January 2006.

Similar in execution to a quesadilla, the Crunchwrap Supreme is created by first filling a large flour tortilla with beef, shredded lettuce, sour cream, tomatoes, and nacho cheese, along with a tostada shell. The tortilla is then folded over itself to create a hexagon and then the Crunchwrap Supreme is grilled on a two-sided press to melt the ingredients, sealing the tortilla. It proved to be extremely popular for diners "on the go," precisely the types of consumers at whom Taco Bell aimed the product.

Originally offered only with beef, a spicy chicken Crunchwrap Supreme has since been introduced. Since each Crunchwrap Supreme is cooked to order due to the nature of the product, it is possible to order one with or without certain ingredients. Recently a vegetarian version, the 7-layer crunchwrap has appeared in some locations.

With an average price of around US$2.49, it has a diameter of around 7 in (18 cm).
