Credo Recovery Ministries is a Christian program designed to help addicts through Jesus Christ. It is based on Cursillo and Kairos Prison Ministry The program runs several times a year, three times for the Maryland/West Virginia group, and several hundred people have completed the program. "Credo focuses on seeking intimate friendship with God in order to break unhealthy attachments and addictions." The team that runs a Credo event spends about 30 hours preparing for the event. It was based on Cursillo. The name means "they came to believe". In 1997 the WV/MD chapter was started by Jude Hoffman, by 1998 the WV/MD chapter was expanded to women by Emil and Carol Liptak.
