Creation science fair

A creation science fair is a gathering modeled on traditional science fairs which seeks to promote a compatibility of science with religious doctrine, specifically creationism as interpreted within the creation science movement.

Such fairs may include projects that are the same as one would find at science fairs held in secular settings, but characteristically promote the inclusion of projects based on subjects (such as Flood geology or Young Earth beliefs) that are not supported by mainstream science. Creation science fairs, just like secular science fairs, may or may not require actual empirical studies to be conducted or the scientific method to be observed.

(Creation science fairs should not be conflated with the fairly common didactic practice among various religious schools of simply requiring projects in their science fairs to include a passage from scripture relevant to the subject, but otherwise not promoting or allowing non-mainstream subject matter.)

There are a number of creation science fairs held across North America that provide a venue for student projects that purport to demonstrate the creation science worldview.
