Courtney Collins is an American journalist. She is news presenter for the weekend editions of KARK 4 News. Collins joined the KARK as a general assignment reporter in April 2007. Collins is from Tampa, Florida, USA. She has a bachelors degree in journalism from Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism. Career Courtney freelanced for AOL City Guide and The South Tampa News and was an intern for the syndicated radio program The B.J. Morning Show. Later, she was a reporter for KDFX, a television station in Wichita Falls, Texas before being hired by KARK-TV. In April, 2009, she became engaged to be married to fellow reporter Pete Thompson in a surprise television newscast. Collins participated in the filming of two unauthorized spoof videos, and in response KARK fired Collins on July 9th, 2010. |
