CostPerform is a specialized cost management software tool built and developed by QPR CostControl. The product has existed since 1992. QPR CostControl has offices in Vianen, Netherlands and in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. The software is used in more than 40 countries, by organisations in various industries. In 2015, CostPerform was rated by EY as the most functional cost management and profitability analysis software on the market. History CostPerform was first marketed as ‘CostControl’ in 1992 by the Finnish software company QPR. In 2001 it was acquired by the newly established Dutch software company QPR CostControl. CostControl was redesigned and functionality was increased. In 2005 the software was renamed to CostPerform. Software design At the core of CostPerform is a structure of cost models containing periods. Each cost model is based on an organisation-specific layer-structured design in a metamodel. Objects containing attributes, and allocations between those objects are added in the cost model. The software offers high allocation functionality including the usage of multiple drivers, formula drivers, reference attributes, conditional drivers, reciprocal allocation, residue allocation, logic-based assignment, cost aggregation and transaction-based allocation. It also includes both graphical and non-graphical reporting tools such as rollup- and drilldown functions, pivot tables, graphs, dashboards, whiteboards and graphical navigation. Partnerships CostPerform partners include global consultancy firms with cross-industry multinational consulting capabilities as well as specialist cost management providers. Partners include Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG, PwC, Grant Thornton, Capgemini and Value to Use.
