Cosmic Masters

The Cosmic Masters, also called the Cosmic Masters of Space and Time , the Cosmic Masters of Time and Space and, the ones at lower levels, the Flying Saucer Masters, are deities and, at the lower levels, certain Space Brothers who are believed by those adherent to UFO religions and many of those who follow spiritually oriented New Age UFO websites to have the status of Masters in addition to and equal to or, more often, superior or far superior to, the traditional original 16 Masters of the Ancient Wisdom of Theosophy and the large group of many dozens of additional Ascended Masters (that include the original Theosophical Masters but add numerous additional Masters) believed in by the Ascended Master Teachings (a group of religions based on Theosophy). On these websites, the original Theosophical Masters of the Ancient Wisdom and the later Ascended Masters are both included with the Cosmic Masters as all having equally important status.
The term Cosmic Master originated with the teachings of the Aetherius Society in the 1950s.
Sometimes the term Cosmic Masters is used in a more general sense to include all of the original Masters of Theosophy and the Ascended Master Teachings as well as the Cosmic Masters proper, i.e., those Masters of extraterrestial origin, which are said to range from, at the lower levels, beings piloting flying saucers from civilizations hundreds of millions of years in advance of us up to, at the higher range of Cosmic Masters, beings that are powerful deities incarnated from previous Cosmoses.
History of the origin of the belief in cosmic masters
The Cosmic Masters came into prominence after the founding of the UFO religions the Aetherius Society and the Unarius Academy of Science in the 1950s. Belief in them became more widespread after the 1977 audio message from the Ashtar Galactic Command appeared on an English TV station.
Nature of the cosmic masters as promulgated by New Age religions
The Cosmic Masters differ from the Masters of the Ancient Wisdom of Theosophy and the Ascended Masters of the Ascended Master Teachings in that they have never been incarnated in human bodies. They are not Ascended Masters--lower level Cosmic Masters are born with the paranormal powers of Masters because, it is believed, they are from advanced civilizations that are hundreds of millions of years ahead of us in evolution. They are presented as Galactic Masters who traverse the Galaxy in flying saucers. They are said to have life spans of thousands, tens of thousands, or millions of years or are immortal beings. They are thought of as being Nordic aliens either from Venus or from other planets or space stations orbiting other stars which have planetary systems in which Nordic type aliens are thought to reside, such as Sirius, Arcturus, or the Pleiades. The mission of these Space Brothers is thought to be to aid Earth in its transition into the higher consciousness of the Age of Aquarius.
Those beings said to be functioning at the higher levels of the range of Cosmic Masters are said to be far beyond mere Nordic aliens--they are said to be beings that incarnated in previous Cosmoses--powerful deities governing sectors of galaxies, entire galaxies, galactic superclusters, and the entire Cosmos itself.
Scientific and science fictional speculation regarding how the cosmic masters might function
Cosmic masters and Einstein's theory of relativity
Since according to Albert Einstein's special theory of relativity any material object that traveled faster than light (such as by a warp drive) would also travel backwards in time, then any starships that could travel faster than light would also function as time machines, making beings who possessed such craft Cosmic Masters of Space and Time.
Cosmic masters and dark energy
Some physicists (such as Jack Sarfatti, who has performed the necessary calculations ), have speculated that faster-than-light warp drive flying saucers could be powered by dark energy.
Cosmic masters and quantum physics
Quantum physicists have recently measured the speed of the quantum non-local connection and found that the minimum lower bound of the speed of the quantum non-local connection (a phenomenon that Einstein called Spooky Action at a Distance) is 10,000 times the speed of light. Some science fiction authors and quantum physicists have speculated that once a way is found around the no-cloning theorem, the "quantum non-local connection" could eventually be used as a communications channel between subspace radios in order to allow faster-than-light starships to be able to communicate with each other.
Cosmic masters and telepathy
If telepathy exists and if it functions by the "quantum non-local connection", then the Cosmic Masters could send messages backwards in time to influence the flow of events in past history.
Cosmic masters said to be stationed at Shamballa
Unlike the traditional Theosophists or those adherent to the Ascended Master Teachings, adherents of the Cosmic Masters New Age theology/mythology regard Sanat Kumara, the immortal being identified in all of these belief systems as the governing deity of Earth, as being a Cosmic Master (Sanat Kumara is regarded as the Cosmic Master who is the cosmic CEO that is directly in charge of all the other Cosmic Masters assigned to Earth) because he is regarded having originally come to Earth from Venus in a flying saucer millions of years ago to supervise its spiritual evolution.
Cosmic Masters said to be stationed at Shamballa, the mythical city where Sanat Kumara is said to dwell, are said to include the Master Ballerian, the Master Sutko, and the Master Kumad.
Cosmic masters said to be patrolling near Earth
Sananda is a name used by some New Age groups to refer to the resurrected Master Jesus. When referred to by the name Sananda, the Master Jesus is usually thought of as commanding a fleet of flying saucers and working with beings from the Ashtar Galactic Command, the communications director of which is Vrillon
and leader of which is the Master Ashtar(sometimes referred to as the Master Ashtar Sheran), who, it is asserted by some, is from Venus and is now second in command of the Brotherhood of Light flying saucer fleet after Sananda (Commander Jesus). Of course, since the "Master Jesus" is of human origin, he would be an exception to the rule that the Cosmic Masters are not of human origin.
Cosmic masters said to be from Venus
New Age believers get around the fact that the environment of Venus is too hot for life as we know it by pointing out that since the 19th century, Theosophists have believed that there is a civilization on Venus hundreds of millions of years in advance of Earth, but it is located on the etheric plane of Venus, so this civilization is not affected by the heat of . Theosophical guru Benjamin Creme and his followers subscribe to the view that the Venusians pilot flying saucers that are capable of stepping down the level of vibration of themselves and their craft from the higher vibrations of particles of etheric matter to the slower level of vibration of the atoms of the physical plane (Creme accepts George Adamski's UFO sightings as valid).
There is a woman named "Omnec Onec" who claims not to actually be a Lady Cosmic Master from Venus, but she asserts she came to Earth in 1955 from a town called Teutonia on the astral plane of Venus, and that she is 439 years old.
Val-Thor is a purported Cosmic Master from the astral plane of Venus, who it is claimed, met United States President Dwight Eisenhower and U.S. Vice-President Richard Nixon on March 16, 1957 and stayed on Earth until 1960. It is asserted that Val-Thor had the ability to teleport at will into locked rooms and was able to communicate with humans by telepathy. It is also claimed he brought a Lady Cosmic Master named Teel with him on his flying saucer.
Orthon is the Cosmic Master who some believe physically contacted George Adamski.
In the teachings of the UFO religion the Unarius Academy of Science, the capital of Venus, which, like the Venusians themselves, is said to exist on a higher vibratory plane, is called Azure. The Cosmic Master who telepathically contacted Ernst and Ruth Norman to found their religion is called Mal-Var.
In the teachings of the UFO religion the Aetherius Society, Aetherius is the Cosmic Master from Venus who telepathically contacted George King to found the Society.
Cosmic masters said to be from Sirius
According to Alice A. Bailey, the star Sirius has a special connection with our solar system. She stated that the star Sirius is the spiritual governor of our tiny local sector of the Milky Way Galaxy and that Sirius channels the cosmic energy of the Seven Rays from the Galactic Logos to the Pleiades to the seven stars of the Great Bear thru Sirius to the Solar Logos (The Solar deity of Theosophy).
The Sirian Masters are said in New Age thought to be a large group of beings from the planetary system of Sirius that include both humanoid and dolphinoid entities. Since there are said to be both masculine and feminine entities, there are many Sirian Lady Cosmic Masters; the Egyptian Goddess Isis is said to be one of the Sirian Lady Cosmic Masters.
A more Goth image of the Sirian Masters is offered in Chaos magic because the "Sirian Masters" were mentioned by Robert Anton Wilson in many of his books, and Chaos magic is a magic system based on the eight circuit model of consciousness formulated by Timothy Leary and Robert Anton Wilson.
Scientific note: Since the Sirian planetary system is only 300 million years old, there would not have been enough time for life to have evolved there yet, so any entities that may exist there would have had to migrate there from somewhere else either to colonize the planets in the system or build artificial space stations to live on.
Cosmic masters said to be from Arcturus
Tomar and Helio-ah are said to be Cosmic Masters from Arcturus.
Cosmic masters said to be from an indefinite location nearby within the Milky Way Galaxy
Favelron, Celeste, and Jameson are Cosmic Masters that Allen Michael said he encountered in 1954 at Giant Rock near Joshua Tree National Park in Southern California in 1954 that led him to formally establish the UFO religion Industrial Church of the New World Comforter in 1973.
Cosmic master said to be from Polaris
The Polaris Fellowship has on its website a dictation from an unnamed Cosmic Master from Polaris.
Cosmic masters said to be from the Pleiades
Pleja and Semjase are two of the Pleiadean Cosmic Masters Billy Meier claims he contacted from the Pleiades.
Cosmic masters said to be from the constellation of Ursa Major
Although the stars of the constellation of the Great Bear are closer to the Sun than Polaris or the the Pleiades, the Cosmic Masters described as functioning at this level have transcended mere flying saucer piloting Nordic aliens and, at this level and above, can be regarded functionally as powerful deities.
According to the Ascended Master Teachings of Joshua David Stone, this sector of the Milky Way Galaxy--one twelfth of the total area of the Galaxy--is governed by a Cosmic Master name Melchior from the constellation of the Great Bear. Working with him on the governing council of this sector of the Galaxy is said to be Melchezidek (not the same being as the Master Melchezidek, said to be in the Ascended Master Teachings the being that Melchezidek became after his death on Earth).
Cosmic masters said to be from the Galactic Core
According to the Ascended Master Teachings of Joshua David Stone, there is a powerful Cosmic Master functioning at the Galactic Core of the Milky Way Galaxy named Averran. Working with Averran under his authority are said to be Adonis, Lenduce, and Vymanus.
Cosmic masters said to be from the Andromeda Galaxy
Amara Jayanti is a guru in India who claims to be able to summon Cosmic Masters from the Andromeda Galaxy whom some of his disciples whose third eyes have been activated claim they can observe on the astral plane.
Cosmic masters said to be governing the Cosmos from the Great Central Sun
According to the teachings of Elizabeth Clare Prophet, the woman who was the head of the Church Universal and Triumphant, the largest of the Ascended Master Teachings religions (a group of religions based on Theosophy), the two deities that are the most powerful deities in this Cosmos (Note: the visible cosmos is now known to be 93,000,000,000 [93 Billion (short scale)] light years in diameter)--personifications of what in Theosophy is called the Cosmic Logos--are Alpha, the Heavenly Father and Omega, the Heavenly Mother. They are said to live in the Great Central Sun, a hyperspherical body said to be in the fourth dimension at a location regarded in the Ascended Master Teachings religions and in most UFO religions as being situated at the central point from which the expansion of the universe issued forth and from which the cosmic hologram is projected.
According to Elizabeth Clare Prophet, Alpha and Omega work with three lesser deities that are their assistants: Maximus, who, in the name of Alpha and Omega, is said to have issued forth the logos that created the cosmic egg from which issued forth the big bang ; The Mighty Cosmos, a being who is said to be responsible for the transmission throughout the Cosmos of five additional rays in addition to the usual Seven Rays (Prophet said that knowledge of the five secret rays will be released on Earth during the Age of Aquarius), as well as for infusing in mundane beings throughout the Cosmos the Electronic Presence, the means through which they are enabled to contact higher beings; and the Nameless One from Out of the Great Central Sun about whom little is known since Elizabeth Clare Prophet received only one dictation from this alleged being, but it is said he is responsible for “placing a seed of light in the crown chakra of those who will accomplish the path of mystical union with God in this flesh they now wear”.
Elizabeth Clare Prophet prefaced many of her dictations she claimed to receive from what she called higher beings with the phrase, In the Name of Alpha and Omega.
Timothy Leary's views regarding the cosmic masters
Timothy Leary speculated that the Cosmic Masters are really time travelers from the future--they are our descendents from the future, traveling backwards in time to inspire our spiritual develpment. Robert Anton Wilson said the same thing.
Cosmic masters in popular culture
Literature
* In the Poul Anderson Time Patrol series of novels, the Dannellians, Cosmic Masters of Time and Space from one million years in the future, create the Time Patrol to hire warriors from various time periods and train them to patrol the timelines in time machines in order to keep events flowing as close as possible to the "orthodox" timeline.
* In the Larry Townsend science fiction book the Scorpius Equation, some Terrans are captured and made into sex slaves by Cosmic Masters who are practitioners of BDSM sex from the Scorpius Empire, centered on the star Antares.
Panelology
* Sometimes in his underground comics stories or comic books, Robert Crumb would satirize "uber-hip" people such as rock stars as pretending that they are Cosmic Masters of Time and Space.
Television
* Doctor Who is said to be one of the Time Lords, a group of Cosmic Masters.
