History
Corepoint Health was founded in 1997 as NeoTool Development. The initial focus began with delivering HL7 training and consulting, later moving into development of HL7 software components. In 2004, the company relocated to Plano, Texas just outside Dallas, Texas and launched its core integration platform. Building on the integration platform, a web-services based solution was released in mid-2008 to facilitate a manageable way to connect a point of care community. Since 2004, the company's growth in addition to broader product offerings required a refreshed brand to better represent its presence in the market. In February 2009, the company updated its brand and launched as Corepoint Health. Corepoint Health is active in the healthcare Information Technology community. Although Corepoint Health solutions work with various healthcare standards, the company actively participates in the HL7 (Health Level Seven) community with active involvement in HL7 working groups. Dave Shaver, Chief Technology Officer and founder, is currently the Co-Chair of Infrastructure and Messaging (InM) Committee and co-chair of the FHIR Governance Board at Health Level 7.
