Copenhagen Suborbitals

Copenhagen Suborbitals is a privately funded space endevour, founded by Peter Madsen and Kristian von Bengtson, set in Copenhagen, Denmark. The purpose of Copenhagen Suborbitals is to create a booster system and space craft that will carry one person on a suborbitals trajectory. The groups aproach their work as amateurs, but are working full time on the project.

Their plan is to create two sets of boosters, where the second is supposed to be the final engine for the manned flight.
The first booster system is called HATV (Hybrid Atmospheric Test Vehicle), which is a 200 mm diameter hybrid system, using nitrous oxyde and epoxy resin. The second and final system is the booster named HEAT (Hybrid Exo Atmospheric Transporter), which is a 630 mm diameter hybrid system using LOX and epoxy resin.

The HEAT booster is planned to carry one person standing up with a view of the suborbital ride, through a polymer plexiglass dome.

Copenhagen Suborbitals has planned a test of the HATV booster on the 19th of October in Copenhagen.
