Convertible Crossover

The Convertible Crossover is a new class of crossover and passenger vehicle.
History
The convertible crossover has it's roots in the cloth/ragtop offloading vehicles such as early Land Rover Defenders. As normal sedan convertible sales bean to grow, and as a new class of vehicle was born; the crossover, automakers began to draw up plan and concepts for a melding of a convertible and a crossover. Audi made one of the earliest, and first convertible crossovers, the Audi Cross Cabriolet Quattro Concept, unveiled in 2007. This has not yet been produced, though it has been rumored to be released in 2013 if there is a demand for at least 5,000 units a year.
The first convertible crossover that was actually produced was the Nisaan Murano CrossCabriolet, released in 2010. The Murano CrossCabriolet has been criticized for it's strange proportions. In 2012, Land Rover unveiled the Range Rover Evoque Convertible Concept, based on their high-selling Evoque.
