Community Action for People with Disabilities in Africa
Community Action for People with Disabilities in Africa (CAPDA) is an Australian aid and development organisation working in Moshi, Tanzania. CAPDA's stated aims are to provide: * basic primary assessment and care to people with disabilities * training and skill development for families and carers of people with disabilities * simple equipment for assisting mobility and ease of care, such as wheelchairs, walkers, positioning supports and splints. CAPDA works closely with local Tanzanian community-based organizations such as Building a Caring Community (BCC) and Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT).
