The Commerce Tiger football team represents Commerce High School in American Football. The Tigers are a Class A team in the GHSA, and participate in Region 8-A. Commerce High School has fielded a football team since 1909 and has an all time record of 584-296-22 (a .660 winning percentage). The Tigers play at Ray Lamb Stadium, which has a seating capacity of 5,000. The Tigers have won two Georgia state championships and seventeen region titles. The current head coach of the Tigers is Michael Brown, former Tiger offensive lineman. History Early history (1909-1924) Commerce football began in 1909, and was led by head coach Professor. The only game record of the first season that is known is that the Tigers defeated the Maysville High School Hurricanes 3-0 on November 12, 1909.
