Comedy Nest

The Comedy Nest is a stand-up comedy club in Montreal's Pepsi Forum.
It is owned by local comedians David Acer (also a magician) and Phil Shuchat, who purchased it in October, 2011 from former owner Ernie Butler's daughter Silver Butler, who had been managing it on an interim basis since her father's death in 2007. Butler opened the city's first comedy club in 1979, calling it Stitches, until renaming it "The Comedy Nest" a few years later when he moved to a different location. The first opening act when the club opened was Jim Carrey. Other comedians to perform at the club include Acer, Tim Allen, Debra DiGiovanni, Jon Dore, Joey Elias, Denis Leary, Mike MacDonald, Mike Paterson, Russell Peters, David Pryde, Tim Rabnett, DeAnne Smith, Ron Sparks, Ron Vaudry, Harland Williams and Mike Wilmot.
