Colyer Dupont is an American television producer and director, winner of eleven major international awards during his tenure at Cinemagic Productions. His hour-long documentary Computer Magic was seen by millions of viewers both in the United States (on PBS National, The Discovery Channel and purchased by high schools, colleges, libraries (5,000 copies sold). it was also licensed by networks in Europe and the Middle East and was the first American documentary aired on national television in China. In addition to his work in television production, he obtained patents for a consumer device (Patent Number 4,399,034). From age twelve to thurteen he had an acting career that included a film for Disney (') as well as stage work with stars such as Betty Grable. His first acting job was a result of his gunspinning skills, made use of in a toy commercial made for Mattel. He was a student at The Academy of Art in San Francisco before leaving to take a position as Advertising Manager for the popular national "New Age" magazine, Magical Blend during the late 1980s. He mostly retired in the early 1990's due to fibromyalgia but remains active in various technology and video projects and is near completion of a book about the hippie and disco eras (1960's and 1970's).
