Colorado Gamma of Sigma Phi Epsilon

Colorado Gamma is the Colorado State University chapter of the Sigma Phi Epsilon (SigEp) secret letter, social college fraternity for male college students in the United States. Founded on November 27th, 1915, Colorado Gamma was the 50th Sigma Phi Epsilon chapter chartered and one of the original fraternities at Colorado State University with the creation of Greek Life during the Fall 1915 semester.
History
Colorado Gamma has operated continuously since its founding at Colorado State University in 1915 and initiated more than 2,300 brothers. The chapter is in the top 10 of all SigEp chapters in total members initiated.
Chapter House
Colorado Gamma has resided at 121 E Lake Street in Fort Collins, Colorado since purchasing the property in 1935. The SigEp chapter house is one of the few remaining traditional fraternity houses at CSU and is located adjacent to the University Center for the Arts (UCA), housed in the renovated old Fort Collins High School.

The Colorado Gamma of Sigma Phi Epsilon Chapter at Colorado State University celebrates the accomplishments of many notable alumni, including but not limited to:
* Jim Benemann '78 - Lead anchor of KCNC-TV, CBS Denver.
* Thomas Royer '72 - Well-known realtor for Northern Colorado. Associated with Metro Brokers.
* Dr. Leonard Blach '59 - Co-owner of the 2009 Kentucky Derby winner Mine That Bird.
* Kenneth Monfort '51 - Created significant innovations in the beef and cattle industry, like cutting up meat at the plant before shipping, as he grew Monfort Beef of Colorado into a leading national beef producer.
* Joseph Phelps '51 - Founder of the Joseph Phelps Vineyard in Napa Valley, California which produced the Wine Spectator 2005 Wine of the Year Joseph Phelps Insignia.
* Roy Romer '50 - 39th Governor of Colorado and Superintendent of the Los Angeles Unified School District from 2001 to 2006.
* Walter Scott, Jr. '53 - Former CEO of Peter Kiewit Sons' Incorporated and current member of the Berkshire Hathaway Board of Directors.
