Amy honed her Australian and New Zealand accents, quickly absorbing and adopting the local sounds.
Connected
Inspired by the response to her videos, Walker wrote a screenplay for a film called Connected, with help from her script adviser, Marilee Jolin. The film follows the story of the Russell family in the midst of an 80th birthday celebration. Soon, the entire family is wrapped up in arguments about the
inadequacies of each other's personal lives. In the ensuing shouting and arguing, a mysterious stranger arrives who jars their focus off of themselves. The family then begins the process of reconnecting to their spouses, children and siblings. Each character is flawed but genuine in their mutual bonds of love. Connected shows the conflict and harmony that comes about when a diverse group of people express love in their own personal ways. Together with Sander Kallshian, the three co-founded the production company SoulFire Films in order to produce the film. To promote the theme of the film, they decided to fund Connected by dollar donations from 1 million people around the world, listing the names of every donor in the credits of the finished film "to show the importance of every gift, no matter how small".
