Codigo Cube Trivia

Codigo Cube Trivia is a dice based trivia game. It was invented in 2011 as a hybrid gaming system that utilized QR Codes on a standard 6 sided (d6) die. Each of the QR Codes represents one or more trivia categories.
Category questions, answer choices, and scoring are revealed by scanning the die with a special QR Code reading app on the player's Smartphone. To start the game any QR Code is scanned at random. This brings up a page to enter the number of players and the type of game they want to play. There are three game choices: Quick Play, which is similar to Trivial Pursuit, Pick Six, where each player can customize the categories they want to play, and Random Six where the computer chooses the categories of the game.
The game also allows for each individual to choose their specific difficulty level. The current choices are: Easy, Medium, Difficult, or Random. This allows for children, for example, to play head to head with adults and still allow them the opportunity to win.
Questions are all presented as multiple choice with the answers being displayed with four different choices. A correct answer allows the player to continue rolling. A wrong answer and it is the next player's turn. The object is to be the first person to get one question correct from all sides.
The game is ultra portable as it is only about 1" square. The idea is that one Codigo Cube and one Smartphone is all someone needs to have a complete ready to play board game. This is meant to be a social game where you play face-to-face with other people.
