Cloud marketing

Cloud Marketing is using standard and innovative marketing practices on a cloud computing platform (SaaS/PaaS), allowing marketers to leverage a wide range of technology-enabled services without knowledge of, expertise with or control over the technology infrastructure that supports them. From a traditional marketing standpoint, this means migrating standard and innovative marketing tactics to exist online, where they can be easily utilized and modified by participants at every level, with little or no experience with the technology that supports them.
Cloud marketing allows marketers, particularly channel marketers and their partners, to exchange marketing assets (promotions, training materials, product information, content, etc.) that are stored "in the cloud." This makes it possible for resellers with few marketing resources to use the marketing expertise of distributors and enterprise manufacturers. And since a third party is responsible for the development and maintenance of the platform, marketers and channel partners are able to allocate more resources to regular operating costs. One such third party is SharedVue Marketing Technologies, a Raleigh, NC based cloud marketing agency.

Channel Marketing
In order to minimize customer capital investment, some companies utilize channel strategies: value-added resellers (VARs), Managed Service Providers (MSPs), Master Managed Service Providers (MMSPs), partnerships and other types of resellers. Cloud marketing further minimizes this cost by creating an innovative content delivery mechanism on a PaaS through which marketing assets can be distributed.
