Clifford Gilberto

Clifford Gilberto, or The Clifford Gilberto Rhythm Combination, is the stage name of Florian Schmitt a recording artist with London based record label Ninja Tune. He is also co-founder of Hi-ReS! and Nanika, two London-based multimedia and interaction design studios.
History
He was signed to the Ninja Tune label in 1997 as The Clifford Gilberto Rhythm Combination as the first non-British act on the label and released an album, titled I Was Young and I Needed The Money and an EP "Deliver the Weird".
He has remixed tracks by Ninja Tune label founders Coldcut, German bands Laub and Studio Grande, Austrian Enduro and French band Red Room. He also soundtracked a film by Belgian filmmaker Pieter van Hees, titled Black XXX-mas.
A new track, "The 10th Victim", appeared on Ninjatune's 2000 compilation Xen Cuts and in 2006, a new track under the pseudonym The Conks appeared as part of a Diesel campaign.
A contributing factor in the delay of his second album appears to be that he also runs a design agency, Hi-ReS!.
