Claude Baillargeon

Marie-Claude Baillargeon is a former Canadian diplomat. He was director of the Francophone Affairs Division. before being appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Cameroon then concurrently to the Central African Republic and Chad. He was also coordinator for International Cultural Policy from 2000-2002, and
deputy permanent delegate for Canada to UNESCO from 2005-2006.
He received a citation with the Canadian Foreign Service Officer Award in 1991, an award given as recognition for exceptional achievements by individual officers.
